Very nice the new additions but i might say my opinion: The new "Birds" sounds are very loud and very often, so they are annoying.. (maybe only for me...) Congrats again for the super job done
The game IS GREAT.. but there are no "Victory Screens", the pictures i remember when you win a general 1vs1 in missions.. Like the one you kick the Green Lady out of castle if i remember well.. :) :)
Nice.. It is nothing of importance.. But i thought to comment that.. (as i remeber it from the Amiga's version) Thanks a lot for briging back a great game with so many usefull improvements!!!
Little bug with mirrored images of the knights... I have noticed this week ago and it's still in the current version 1.0.9.0
I'll try to upload video to youtube to show you what I'm talking about.. Sometimes it's one mirror image, sometimes more.. 3 or 4.. One fella fighting enemy and his mirror images just shadowboxing... when main knight dies, his mirror images also die.
Turns out tis a little rendering bug since I added the ability for the knights to move freely, patching now. In an updated version there is a chance your load file could still carry the issue with it, not sure, but in any case should be good for future games. Expect V1.1.0.0 soon... or later... seems my fix had another knock-on effect.! Fighting with the code for a bit longer =)
Sounds effects seem way too loud and become super annoying after a while.. I feel like on the Amiga version these were much more subtle, louder when source of them was in the centre of the screen and quieter when source was further away from the centre of the screen.
I seem to also have encountered a couple of time a bug when building. Sometimes builder receives no materials, even though there is plenty in the castle, joining roads are not crowded... i ran game at max speed for good 3 minutes and poor fella never received anything (there was nothing else being built, plenty materials, carriers on the path leading to building being built were idle). Once I built alternative path materials started being transported to building site.
Zooming in.. this seem pretty useless and just results in very pixelated picture... i think zooming out would be more useful (to quickly see larger area and plan expansion).
Good points, I thought about zooming out, zooming in 1x more is only fun for looking at pixels indeed. Will look into the bug with not getting materials (which I noticed int he original amiga game so could be some latent code I copied over and can do extra checks). I agree about SFX since Amiga was limited by channels, Gamemaker is not, so I can limit it to be similar, will introduce the fading to edge of screen for volume too. Great feedback etc!
I think it is possible to export to these systems with GM, so it can maybe possible to support these systems without any additional work for you ? But anyway thanks for your amazing work :)
You have to have a macOS and Linux machine for each. I have macOS but I need to rejig some mouse clicks since it would be impossible with one button or trackpad... will look into it a bit later. But no for Linux.
it has Zoom (mousewheel) and removed border so you see a bit more screen and also the button on the right of the UI panel at the bottom speeds up time left to increase speed, right to decrease, 4 levels: > >> >>> >>>> great if you want your buildings to appear quickly
working on some other additions to it now the base is in place.

I thought this too, thanks for the ears on it, I will tone them down, less frequently too! Thanks <3

Ah yes, I was about to implement them but some bugs took time to sort. Will add them next, thanks!!

I see some folk are still playing V1.0.3.0 or V1.0.7.0 with the same crash reports coming in, make sure to update to the latest version folks!

Ah yes, thank you for this video. I will look at the code and make a fix soon.

Fabulous !!
Couple of things that I have noticed...

Done, done, done...
OMG.. all actioned on the same day... I can't believe it...
Thanks !! Let's get testing..
Cant macOS and Linux users just use crossover or wine these days?
I think it is possible to export to these systems with GM, so it can maybe possible to support these systems without any additional work for you ?
But anyway thanks for your amazing work :)

If needed I would be happy to help for Linux ;)
holy cow. Any chance of a macOS version?
It's a big maybe, but I hear you can run windows software via things like Crossover or Wine etc?
It's amazing, the changes you made seems great !
Do you plan to make a Linux version ?
Net Testing is going well, will update soon after more testing... only tested at home via the IP so far... will need a kind of lobby added before people can net-play. https://www.tiktok.com/@polytricity/video/7682346646339964182
Hi. What does this change over the original? Loved it in the 90's.
it has Zoom (mousewheel) and removed border so you see a bit more screen and also the button on the right of the UI panel at the bottom speeds up time left to increase speed, right to decrease, 4 levels:

great if you want your buildings to appear quickly
working on some other additions to it now the base is in place.
